How Can You Calculate Reckonable Residence?

Recknoable residence is an essential part when it comes to applying for Citizenship in Ireland

From the date that you intend to apply for citizenship, count backwards. You must demonstrate that you have legally lived in the State for at least 1825 or 1826 days over the past nine years. It involves:

• 365 days immediately prior to the date on which you are applying (or 366 days if it includes 29 February)

• In the eight years prior to the above period, plus 1460 days (plus one day for years including 29 February

If you are not getting the idea, you can ask your lawyer to help you out.
